I am joining
Gina's Beach Party at The Shabby Chic Cottage today. These are pictures of our guest room and guest bath. The bath is a french/beach decor. The wall paper has
fleur di lis pattern on it. It was there when we moved in and so I just went with it.
My sister made this lamp with shells she collected in the carribean. I have had this lamp for 23+ years, it always seemed to fit in no matter where we have placed it.
Star fish and a family photo. The roses and colors in the frame bring out the same colors in the sheets
I still have plans for this room. I would like to make it more cottage like with wainscoting and hooks for towels, instead of bars. I bought the iron shelf at Hobby Lobby, love it! Thebig pitcher is a McCoy, kind of hard to see in the pictures, but a favrite of mine.
The towels are the same color as the starfish. Wish I had more of this kind of starfish.
More shells in apothercary jar. Small glass vase has shell shaped soaps.
very beachy and very pretty!

Hello sweet Marla - love your beachy rooms! Can I come stay with you? I especially like the wire basket on the bathroom wall. So fabulous.

Marla I was admiring this so much and thought "you know what would look great...fleur de lis" and then in the next frame there they were.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done.
Hi Marla,
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Your shells are wonderful, and I added starfish to my towels too.
Blessings,
Sandi
Oh! the lamp was just waiting for the perfect place and it has definitely found it in your guest room!
ReplyDelete& Your bathroom really looks gorgeous! I love the black and white (and the color of the starfish with the black and white!) if you take a peek at my beach party, you can see I do like the black and white ;o)...hm...wish I had thought of the starfish color, instead of the darker pink that I have with it! oh well... and it was designed with my color choices...and I do not most definitely know how to do changes...I'm doing well to get my posts up! haha
Yes, I think everything looks wonderful together!
Blessings & Aloha!
If you get a chance to come to my beach party...please leave a comment so I know that you were there.
Hey, Marla, you're right those blue doors are really neat. Love your beachy stuff too. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteLove the shells in the glass lamp! Oh, and you might want to check out my first Giveaway on Monday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful guest quarters! I love the shot of the family photo on the basket tray with the starfish-such a simple yet beautiful composition. The shell filled glass lamp is a beauty, too.
