I am particitpating in the Thrifty Treasures party over at Southern Hospitality. Check out all the great treasures.
I was so excited when I spotted this jewel, I have been wanting to find a white soup tureen, this is my first one. I have seen so many beautiful tureens out in blog land. This one says DeForest of California, USA on the bottom. I found it at the Goodwill for $8. It is in perfect condition with the ladel.
These linen hankies were covered with ugly brown spots, they were in a larger batch of linens, all for $.50. I soaked them in Oxi-clean. Wow does that do the job. They look great, I just need to press them now.
What great finds! I love that oxiclean stuff, it saved a vintage tablecloth recently that I found at a yard sale.
ReplyDeleteGreat deals! Especially love the tureen - made in California is a good one! The Italian box is lovely! Linda
ReplyDeletei love those linen hankies!
ReplyDeleteAmazing what you can find.
ReplyDeleteI heard that if you take your wet linens and put them in the fridge in a bag to get them icy cold then you iron them and that makes them crisp.
Wow, what great treasures! I especially love the tureen and the Italian box. The tureen looks so nice with your cabinet.
ReplyDeleteHi Marla! I'm partying a little late this week. I just have to say that my MIL has an ice bucket exactly like that one which was a wedding gift in 1950!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week! I am, just read today's post on my blog...
