More Goodwill treasures

I am particitpating in the Thrifty Treasures party over at Southern Hospitality. Check out all the great treasures.

I was so excited when I spotted this jewel, I have been wanting to find a white soup tureen, this is my first one. I have seen so many beautiful tureens out in blog land. This one says DeForest of California, USA on the bottom. I found it at the Goodwill for $8. It is in perfect condition with the ladel.

These linen hankies were covered with ugly brown spots, they were in a larger batch of linens, all for $.50. I soaked them in Oxi-clean. Wow does that do the job. They look great, I just need to press them now.

This is actually a box, made in Italy bought it for $2. has a green felt lining.

This is large painting, not signed but I think it must have been an art student. It is a large canvas, I bought it for $6.99. It will probably go in my bedroom.

Hammered ice bucket, Made in Italy. $1.99. Love the detailing and the rings on the side.

This is a fun sign and a duck cutting board. $2.99 and $.59. Looks great in my kitchen.

  1. What great finds! I love that oxiclean stuff, it saved a vintage tablecloth recently that I found at a yard sale.

  3. Amazing what you can find.
I heard that if you take your wet linens and put them in the fridge in a bag to get them icy cold then you iron them and that makes them crisp.
